HTC DONATES OVER $34,000 TO THE AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION, SETS AN ALL-TIME, RECORD-HIGH
The HTC employee fall fundraiser for the American Heart Association was a huge success. In total, HTC employees raised over $34,300 and set an all-time record-high for fundraising by any organization in this area. Employees organized various fundraisers including dress down days, t-shirt sales, biscuit sales, Carrabba’s meals, a yard sale and more.
“HTC employees do have “Hearts That Care” and we’ve proven it time and time again through generous giving to many worthy causes this year. By supporting various fundraisers such as dress down days to t-shirt sales, HTC employees have generously contributed thousands of dollars to the American Heart Association,” says Glenda Page, HTC Chief-Executive-Human Resources. “As Chair of the 2008 Heart Walk and on behalf of the American Heart Association and HTC, I want to thank the community for the splendid support demonstrated throughout the 2008 fundraising year. Regardless of your efforts large or small, they were needed, important and did not go unnoticed. HTC is proud of the contributions its employees have made to the American Heart Association in 2008 to help educate citizens on the serious affects of heart disease.”
Please note that HTC employees alone raised almost 20% of the region total. Overall, more than $183,000 has been raised to date by the Waccamaw Area Heart Walk and more donations are expected now through the end of the year.
