AT&T warns customers of phishing attempt
Please be aware of an “AT&T Incoming Message On Hold” Phishing Scam targeting AT&T customers. The e-mail about permanently deleting the recipients' AT&T e-mail box unless the customer responds is a phishing scam. This e-mail was not sent by AT&T.
- This deceptive e-mail message is sent to trick AT&T customers to click on the link inside the e-mail and then log in to a fake site that resembles the AT&T website.
- Once customers input their AT&T login credentials to sign into the fake website, the login credentials can then be used by the phishing perpetrators.
- This login information can later be used to access the customer’s AT&T accounts.
- If you have already attempted to log in through the link contained in this phishing e-mail, please immediately change your login credentials by visiting https://www.att.com.
Reminder: AT&T customers should never click on links in e-mail messages to sign into their AT&T accounts. Always go directly to https://www.att.com and sign into your AT&T accounts from there.« Back
