Being a member of the NTCA – The Rural Broadband Association means HTC also supports the Foundation For Rural Service (FRS). In particular, we are a conduit for the FRS’ Youth Programs. FRS provides scholarships, a Youth Tour, and a number of other programs to help invest in the next generation of leaders and citizens. 

Congratulations to Andrew Bryce Graham (Aynor HS) and Alandrea Martin (Conway HS) who were selected for the 2022 FRS Youth Tour in Washington DC from June 1-5, 2022.

Congratulations also to Madelyn Faircloth (Loris HS) and Liam McCann (Academy for the Arts, Science & Technology/Conway HS) who have been selected as FRS Scholarship Award recipients. This scholarship is $2,000 to be used to cover expenses related to attending a two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school. As they are also local residents in the HTC service area, HTC will contribute an additional $500, bringing the total scholarship to $2,500.
