HTC Announces Faster Internet Speeds for Members
With Increase, HTC Members Now Have Starting Internet Speeds of 500 Mbps
February 15, 2023, Conway, S.C. – HTC, the area’s largest fiber internet provider, today announced the Cooperative has increased internet speeds for members.
Upgraded speeds are as follows:
- Tier 1 has increased from 300 Megabits Per Second (Mbps) to 500 Mbps
- Tier 2 has increased from 500 Mbps to 750 Mbps
- Tier 3 remains at 1 Gigabit
With this increase, there will be no additional monthly cost for members. In addition, HTC members have been upgraded to the new speeds for their tier level automatically and are not required to make any changes to their HTC-supplied equipment.
These speed increases come as member data usage and the number of connected devices per home continue to grow. Always having members’ best interests in mind, HTC’s intent is to provide members with the best experience possible, not only for today but for the future, on a network that is second to none.
“By focusing on our core products and keeping our network upgraded, we were able to increase speeds for members without having to increase the costs normally associated with this process,” said Jimmy Anderson, HTC Director of Technical Services. “As a Cooperative, we always have, and always will, put members’ best interest first.”
