HTC Prioritizes Service Calls to Keep Community Connected

The HTC family, much like your own, has been monitoring the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) within our communities. It’s our responsibility to ensure each time an HTC technician comes onto a property, both our member and employees are protected. HTC has put extra precautions in place when it comes to serving our current members and bringing new ones on board.

Before an HTC technician is scheduled to visit your property, our technical support team will work to resolve issues remotely. By walking you through basic steps of repair over the phone, we may be able to avoid an unnecessary visit to your home as we all do our part to practice social distancing.

HTC resources have been reallocated to better serve the needs of our members and those requesting installation. Our focus in utilizing our team members will be on activating critical services and addressing service outages as needed. Immediate needs for HTC residential members include:

  • A service interruption that can’t be resolved remotely.
  • Repair or installation of essential communication services.
  • New members seeking high-speed internet access as well as existing members adding new internet or voice service.

In an effort to optimize our existing resources while keeping our employee and member safety a top priority, HTC offers several self-help options if you are not facing a service-affecting issue.

Just as your family is adjusting to the new “normal” of working from home or implementing eLearning for your kids, HTC is also making adjustments. As we continue to receive a high volume of calls for new installations, we’re encouraging members to explore our many self-help resources on the Support section of HTCinc.net. Members may also schedule an appointment at one of our branch offices to complete tasks like equipment exchanges or launch wireless services.

HTC will continue to monitor the effects of COVID-19 on our region and nation as a whole. As we dispatch our resources to priority calls to support our community with working from home, eLearning and staying connected to family and friends, we ask for your understanding and patience. HTC is honored to serve Horry and Georgetown counties and beyond and, like the families in our communities, will continue to follow recommended health guidelines to support the immobilization of COVID-19.
