In celebration of National Reading Month, Cooperative collected books for area young reader organizations
Conway, S.C., March 31, 2022 – HTC recently donated more than 1,500 books to area non-profit literacy organizations in Horry, Georgetown and Marion counties in observance of March being National Reading Month.
During March, HTC collected both new and gently used children’s books for kids ages 0-10 at all eight HTC retail locations. In addition, the Cooperative donated a book for every new HTC TV MAX subscription during the month.
The donated books were distributed among the following organizations:
- Families Read: Horry County
- Freedom Readers: Georgetown County
- Kings Court: Marion County
“HTC’s contributions from members, employees and the Cooperative, reflect our commitment to not only to helping area youth, but the communities in which we work and live as a whole,” said Sandy Hendrick, HTC Marketing Manager. “We’re thankful for everyone who took part in this book drive and are sure it will assist the organizations benefit the young readers they work with.”
