HTC Partners With Horry County Schools For First Ever Middle School Football Bowl Games

HTC Middle School Bowl GamesOctober 20, 2022, Conway, S.C.- Today, HTC announced the Cooperative is partnering with Horry County Schools (HCS) to cap off the 2022 middle school football season with a full slate of “Bowl Games.”

All taking place on Tuesday, October 25, each Horry County Schools middle school football teams will play a team from the opposite division with a similar record. There will be a total of six bowl games played, including: the HTC Community Bowl; HTC Communications Bowl; HTC Internet Bowl; HTC Member Bowl; HTC Hometown Bowl; and HTC Connect Bowl.

HCS implemented the bowl games this year as a way to increase the level of competition, particularly for the last game of the season.

HCS Middle School Football HTC Bowl Game Schedule

  • Ten Oaks Middle vs. Aynor Middle at Aynor High – 6:00 PM
  • St. James Middle vs. Black Water Middle at Carolina Forest High – 6:00 PM
  • Socastee Middle vs. Conway Middle at Conway High – 7:30 PM
  • Forestbrook Middle vs. Whittemore Park at Conway High – 6:00 PM
  • Ocean Bay Middle vs. North Myrtle Beach Middle at North Myrtle Beach High – 6:00 PM
  • Myrtle Beach Middle vs. Loris Middle at Loris High – 6:00 PM

“We wanted to create more excitement for our middle school athletic programs,” said Jason Cox, Horry County Schools District Athletic Director. “HTC is an outstanding supporter of our student athletes and athletic departments throughout the district each year.  Community support is a vital part of our athletic programs and HTC has helped us provide the needed equipment to our student athletes through their continued support.  When I mentioned the middle school bowl games, HTC immediately wanted to be involved.  All of Horry County Schools appreciate their willingness to help support our athletic programs.”
