In Celebration of Students Returning for the 2022-23 School Year, HTC Commits Pledges $5 Per New HTC TV Max Subscription During the Month of August
August 9, 2022, Conway, S.C., – HTC, the area’s largest fiber Internet provider, is partnering with Cooperative employees to donate to local First Steps organizations in Horry, Georgetown and Marion counties in celebration of students returning for the 2022-23 school year. These donations are a part of HTC’s ongoing “Helping The Community” efforts.
During the month of August, HTC employees will donate $1,500 to Horry County First Steps. The money comes directly out of the Jean Day fund, which is an initiative HTC started that allows its employees to wear jeans every Friday in return for a small annual charitable contribution. Jean Day funds are given back to the local community throughout the year in the form of charitable donations.
In addition, similar to previous community donation efforts, the Cooperative has pledged to donate $5 for every new HTC TV Max subscription during the month of August to Georgetown and Marion First Steps programs.
First Steps is a non-profit organization with the mission of being able to bridge the gap on student’s preparedness for success in elementary school. With the belief that parents are a child’s best teacher, First Steps partners with families to provide resources to support the success of children from birth through age five.
“HTC is committed to partnering with our local community to support area youth in their education,” said Mike Hagg, HTC CEO. “We are thankful for the generous contribution made by our employees and cooperative members who sign up for HTC TV Max that reflects our ongoing mission to better our community by investing in area youth.”
