Cooperative Employees Donate Brand New Blankets And Socks In Addition To Cash Donation

December 21, 2022, Conway, S.C.,- HTC, the area’s only local fiber internet provider, donated $5,000 to Churches Assisting People (CAP) for their holiday initiative, hosted by Conway Church of God, to provide Christmas to local families in need.

In late November, similar to previous community donation efforts, HTC pledged to donate $5 per new HTC TV Max subscription through December 19. This drive, combined with HTC employee donations, resulted in a total of $5,000.

The employee donations came directly from the Cooperative’s Jean Day fund, which is an initiative HTC started that allows its employees to wear jeans every Friday in return for a small annual charitable contribution. Jean Day funds are given back to the local community throughout the year in the form of charitable donations.

To help facilitate distribution of donated items, HTC employees gathered at Conway Church of God December 19 through 21 to assist church volunteers.

“CAP is honored to partner with HTC and because of the Cooperative’s generosity, CAP is able to help our neighbors in need with food and other necessities they may need during the holiday season,” said Donna Bodie, CAP Executive Director.

CAP is a local, non-profit organization that has been assisting Horry County residents since 1986. Their mission is to assist members of our community experiencing crisis with basic needs, in an environment of compassion, dignity and respect. To learn more, visit www.capconway.org.

“HTC is honored to partner with CAP throughout this holiday season,” said Sandy Hendrick, HTC Marketing Manager.
