HTC Partners with Georgetown County Parks & Recreation and Georgetown County Sheriff’s Department to Host Christmas Turkey Giveaway
Drive-Thru Community Event Set for December 17 at 8 Oaks Park to Support Local Families this Holiday Season
December 16, 2025, Conway, S.C. – HTC, in partnership with Georgetown County Parks & Recreation and Georgetown County Sheriff’s Department, will host a Christmas Turkey Giveaway on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 8 Oaks Park, located at 6610 High Market Street, providing free turkeys to local families in need ahead of the holiday season.
This drive-thru event will begin with park gates opening at 9 a.m., followed by turkey distribution starting at 10 a.m. To ensure safety and efficient traffic flow, early arrival is not permitted and attendees are asked to wait until gates officially open before entering the park. With a limit of one turkey per vehicle, turkeys will be distributed while supplies last.
This Christmas Turkey Giveaway reflects a shared commitment between HTC and Georgetown County Parks & Recreation to support local residents through accessible, community-focused initiatives. By hosting the event as a drive-thru, with the help of Georgetown County Sheriff’s Department, organizers aim to create a smooth, safe and respectful experience for all participants.

HTC purchased the turkeys for the event and will also have employees on site volunteering alongside Georgetown County Parks & Recreation and Georgetown County Sheriff’s Department staff to assist with distribution.
