HTC Announces Next Phase of Broadband Expansion for Marion County

Marion County expansion

HTC announced the next phase of the Cooperative’s broadband expansion into Marion County.

This nearly $7 million project was made possible by grants from the South Carolina Broadband Office’s American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) program and matching funds from HTC.

The grant projects will reach approximately 570 unserved locations in portions of northeastern Marion County. In addition, HTC is committing to using its own capital to extend its fiber network to the Town of Nichols.

  1. I live one mile south of Ariels Crossroad (Hwy 41 & Hwy 501 Marion County) and I love all my HTC services. Thank you so much.

When will you have services on Hwy 9 in the Friendship area of Marion County?

  2. I live in the country and had horrible satellite internet. As soon as HTC was available we switched and it was like going from walking to flying in a jet!!
