More Than $5,000 Donated to Local Literacy Organizations in Honor of National Reading Month
HTC is proud to recognize its members for making a meaningful impact during National Reading Month, which was celebrated in March. Through HTC’s AutoPay and Paperless Billing initiative, the Cooperative pledged a $5 donation for every member who made the switch. As a result, HTC was able to donate $5,250 in total to Palmetto Literacy Council, Georgetown County Library, and Marion County Library, with each entity receiving $1,750 in support of their literacy efforts.
Literacy is a vital foundation for education and opportunity. The organizations benefiting from this initiative provide essential resources, tutoring and programs that empower children, and adults, with reading skills crucial for success. HTC is honored to support these efforts and remain actively engaged in the communities it serves.
