HTC is excited to announce that we have officially launched Multi-Factor Authentication. You can now enable Multi-Factor Authentication on your account to minimize risks and feel safer knowing your account is better protected.
Our new Multi-Factor Authentication system goes beyond the old method where you were asked to provide personal identifying information when contacting HTC. You have the flexibility to customize your authentication method striking the right balance between security and convenience. Choose between text, email, passcode or personal information to protect against anyone fraudulently accessing your account.
Multi-Factor Authentication is a simple, straightforward and important step to safeguard your account. We encourage you to take 2-minutes to set up and gain an extra level of security and peace of mind.
It’s easy as 1-2-3 and provides a significant new layer of protection.
- Access your HTC My Account profile and click on Account Settings from the menu.
- Choose a convenient Multi-Factor Authentication method (text, email, passcode or personal information).
- Authenticate with Multi-Factor Authentication. Once you sign up, you will begin verifying your identity when contacting HTC to access your account using the Multi-Factor Authentication method you chose.
That’s it and you’re all set! Next time you contact HTC to access your account, you’ll use your Multi-Factor Authentication method to verify your identity. Everything will continue to work just as before.
