Lieutenant Governor Pamela Evette presented the honor, recognizing Hagg for his 28 years of service to HTC, his contributions to the state, as well as the telecommunications industry and his community service efforts.

“It is an honor to be able to bestow this award to Mr. Hagg, who has made such a mark in the community and the telecommunications industry, on behalf of Governor McMaster,” said Pamela Evette, South Carolina Lieutenant Governor. “Mike is the epitome of what makes South Carolina so special, as his goal has been to do more to make this community better.”

Hagg joined HTC in 1994 and was named HTC’s CEO in 2010. He has held many different roles throughout his career and has led the Cooperative through a tremendous growth phase. His leadership and vision were key to HTC being a leader in the state for improving broadband access for rural communities.
