HTC Continues Support of Georgetown County Schools

 

September 14, 2026, Conway, S.C. – HTC, the largest telecommunications cooperative in the United States, is continuing its partnership with Georgetown County School District (GCSD) for the 2026-2027 school year, supporting programs and opportunities for students and staff throughout the district.

 

As part of the partnership, HTC is providing a $10,000 sponsorship to support academic, athletic and arts programs throughout the school year. The sponsorship will help provide opportunities for students to learn, compete, create and celebrate their achievements.

 

Several district programs and events will benefit from the sponsorship, including the GCSD Tech Fair, middle school basketball tournament, high school robotics program, Annual “Of the Year” Gala and GCSD Impact Awards.

 

 

From technology and robotics to athletics, the partnership supports students across a variety of interests.

 

The GCSD Tech Fair and high school robotics program give students opportunities to explore technology, innovation and problem-solving. Meanwhile, the middle school basketball tournament gives student athletes an opportunity to compete and represent their schools.

 

The sponsorship also supports events that recognize the people who help make Georgetown County schools successful. The Annual “Of the Year Gala” and GCSD Impact Awards celebrate accomplishments and recognize outstanding individuals throughout the district.

 

Together, these programs showcase the many ways students, educators and staff contribute to the school community.
