HTC Celebrates Champions at HCS and GCSD Middle School Basketball Championships

Annual Tournaments Showcase Local Talent, Sportsmanship and Community Support

 February 18, 2025, Conway, S.C. – HTC, the area’s largest fiber internet provider and a dedicated supporter of youth athletics, served as the recent title sponsor for both the Horry County Schools (HCS) and Georgetown County School District (GCSD) Middle School Basketball Championships. The excitement of middle school basketball took center stage as teams from Horry and Georgetown counties battled for championship titles in their respective tournaments.

The championships featured top teams battling for their respective titles, showcasing the hard work and dedication of young athletes from across both counties.

HCS Middle School Basketball Championship was held at Carolina Forest High School.

HCS Results:

• Girls Championship: Ten Oaks Middle School defeated Green Sea Floyds Middle School
• Boys Championship: Loris Middle School defeated Ocean Bay Middle School

GCSD Middle School Basketball Tournament was held at Johnsonville Middle School in Florence County.

GCSD Results:

• Girls Championship: Georgetown Middle School defeated Waccamaw Middle School
• Boys Championship: Georgetown Middle School defeated Hemmingway Middle School

Following the final four, hard-fought games, HTC representatives presented the championship trophies to the winning teams. Aaron Reiss awarded trophies for Georgetown County, while Staci Goodman and Denise Ambuhl presented the champions for Horry County.
