Supporting Aunny’s Country Kitchen this Thanksgiving

HTC is honored to support Aunny’s Country Kitchen in Georgetown this holiday season.

 

HTC contributed a $1,000 donation to help fund their annual free Thanksgiving Day meal for anyone in need. This event brings people together each year and creates a welcoming space for everyone who attends.

 

Aunny’s, located on Front Street, has offered a free Thanksgiving meal with classic Southern dishes for more than a decade. These dishes offer comfort and reflect the generosity at the heart of Aunny’s mission. Each year, the restaurant welcomes hundreds of guests. In many seasons, they have served well over a thousand meals. 

 

Volunteers from local churches and community groups join the effort. They help prepare and serve the meals, which helps create a strong sense of teamwork. In some years, Aunny’s even expands seating into the street with picnic tables so neighbors can sit together and share the day. The goal is simple: make sure everyone has access to a warm holiday meal and a joyous place to gather.

 

HTC’s support helps cover the cost of food and supplies. With this contribution, Aunny’s can reach more families, seniors, and individuals who may be facing challenges during the holiday season. As a result, the tradition continues to grow and offer fellowship, comfort, and a sense of belonging.
