HTC Celebrates Area Bus Drivers During South Carolina Bus Driver Appreciation Week
February 21, 2023, Conway, S.C. – HTC, the area’s largest fiber internet provider, recently delivered more than 500 cookies, notepads and pens to bus offices in Horry, Georgetown and Marion Counties to celebrate area bus drivers in honor of South Carolina’s Bus Driver Appreciation Week.
HTC employees delivered cookies, notepads and pens to county district offices to be distributed to the various bus offices in the area. These donations were made as part of HTC’s ongoing “Helping The Community” efforts. Celebrated annually, this year’s South Carolina Bus Driver Appreciation Week ran this year from February 13-17.
“At HTC, we appreciate the effort that area bus drivers make to ensure that our children get to and from school safely every day,” said Sandy Hendrick, HTC Marketing Manager. “Their hard work does not go unnoticed, and we are happy to take this opportunity to celebrate them this week. We encourage our community to join us in thanking school bus drivers for the important work they do.”
Combined, there are more than 500 bus drivers in Horry, Georgetown and Marion Counties covering more than 2,000 bus routes each day. The offices of transportation services in each county are responsible for providing the safe and efficient transportation of students to and from school each day.
