HTC Inspires Future Innovators During Student Visit
Plantersville Summer Academy students explored technology careers through a day of hands-on learning at HTC.HTC recently welcomed students from the Plantersville Summer Academy for an interactive day of learning and discovery at its Conway campus. The visit highlighted HTC’s ongoing commitment to education, technology and community partnerships.
The students participate in the Summer Academy through The Village Group in Georgetown. The program helps young people build confidence, develop leadership skills and explore future opportunities.
Throughout the day, students experienced how technology connects homes, businesses and communities across the region.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
Students toured several departments across HTC’s campus and met employees from a variety of career fields. Along the way, they learned how teamwork keeps members connected every day.
The group also enjoyed hands-on demonstrations. They examined fiber and copper cables, explored the differences between the two technologies, and discovered how fiber delivers faster, more reliable internet service.
In addition, students asked thoughtful questions about careers in telecommunications. Several shared dreams of becoming engineers or in-home service technicians, creating meaningful conversations with HTC employees.
Building Connections Through Community
The visit offered more than a behind-the-scenes look at technology. It gave students the chance to connect with professionals, ask questions and imagine future career paths.
HTC also provided lunch, giving students and employees additional time to talk, share experiences and build lasting connections.
