HTC Strengthens Ongoing Commitment to Combat Human Trafficking
Local Cooperative Continues to Champion Education, Awareness and Empowerment.
September 4, 2025, Conway, S.C. – HTC, the area’s largest fiber internet provider, recently reaffirmed its commitment to fighting human trafficking by providing a donation of $5,000 in support of Engaging Minds Services, an organization dedicated to empowering individuals impacted by trafficking and abuse. This latest contribution follows HTC’s donation to Operation IFAST earlier in 2025, further strengthening a company tradition of community-driven change.
Engaging Minds Services, Inc. is a nonprofit based in Conway that harnesses education as a powerful deterrent to trafficking. Through various comprehensive services, the organization empowers survivors to regain control and imagine a future unburdened by abuse. By fostering community partnerships, Engaging Minds builds safer, more informed environments for healing and growth.
“HTC’s partnership with Engaging Minds Services reflects our belief that lasting change begins with empowering individuals,” said Wendy McCrackin, HTC Chief Executive Human Resources and Customer Operations. “Following our earlier collaboration with Operation IFAST, this support underscores our broader strategy of combining awareness and education for a sustainable response to human trafficking.”
HTC’s layered approach, with the support of Operation IFAST and Engaging Minds Services, now spans both frontline awareness and post-trauma support. By backing educational and empowerment-based initiatives, HTC aims to offer continued support in the fight against the ever-prevalent issue of human trafficking.
