HTC Partners with Horry County Schools for Second Annual Middle School Tournament for Boys and Girls Basketball Championship

HTC announces second annual middle school basketball tournamentTwelve Boys and Girls Teams from HCS Middle Schools Will Participate In This Single Elimination Tournament To Determine Championship Teams

 January 29, 2024, Conway, S.C.- HTC today announced the Cooperative is partnering with Horry County Schools (HCS) to cap off the 2023-2024 middle school basketball season with a single elimination tournament, culminating with championship games taking place February 5. 

Over the next two weeks, all of the top Horry County Schools middle school basketball teams will face an opponent with a similar regular season division record. There will be a total of six games played to determine opposing teams for the championship game.

HTC is again partnering to sponsor these games as a way to increase the level of competition, particularly for the last game of the season.

  • Girls- January 29
    • Socastee at Ocean Bay
    • Black Water at Myrtle Beach
    • Conway at Aynor
    • North Myrtle Beach at Loris

*Winners will play the next round on January 31. Finals on February 5.

  • Boys- January 30
    • St. James at Myrtle Beach
    • Ten Oaks at Socastee
    • Conway at North Myrtle Beach
    • Whittemore Park at Loris
