Every year on May 17, we recognize World Telecommunications and Information Society Day (WTISD). It may not come with cake or confetti, but it gives the gift of connectivity and plays a role in just about everything we do.
From checking the weather to streaming your favorite show sans buffering, telecommunications keep life moving. It connects people, powers businesses, and supports emergency services.
This year’s theme, “Digital Lifeline: Strengthening Resilience in a Connected World,” highlights something important: connectivity is no longer a luxury. It’s essential.
