January 27, 2025, Conway, S.C. – HTC and the Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) together offer impending high school graduates the opportunity to receive financial assistance during their first year of college or vocational school through the FRS Scholarship Program. This nationally recognized program awards scholarships of up to $2,500 to high school students in rural communities who are pursuing higher education. The deadline to submit scholarship applications is 5 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2025.

Since its inception, the FRS Scholarship Program has been dedicated to supporting the educational goals of rural youth and fostering the next generation of leaders. Sponsored by the Foundation for Rural Service and in partnership with rural telecommunications providers like HTC, this program recognizes the importance of education in strengthening the future of rural America.

In addition to the financial support, this scholarship provides recipients with the opportunity to connect with like-minded peers, build a professional network and explore how advancements in telecommunications can drive growth in rural areas. Students need to apply online.

“Supporting students through opportunities like the FRS Scholarship Program is an extension of HTC’s commitment to our community,” said Sandy Hendrick, HTC Marketing Manager. “This scholarship opens doors for students to achieve their dreams.”
