HTC Participates in Utility Service Day as Part of Keep Conway Beautiful Efforts
HTC Employees Joined Other Area Utility Workers For Annual Clean Up Event
November 1, 2023, Conway, S.C., – HTC, the area’s largest fiber internet provider, joined other area utility companies Wednesday, October 25, to participate in the Keep Conway Beautiful Utility Service Day.
Utility Service Day is one of many community-focused events held by Keep Conway Beautiful in an effort to keep the city free of debris.
“I am proud to work with such a dedicated group of people,” said Nevada Mileur, City of Conway Litter Control Coordinator. “I can’t thank everyone enough for volunteering their time to make Conway more beautiful. This year we had 55 volunteers and covered more than two miles of roadsides.”
Volunteers, which included HTC employees, gathered on Depot Road at Waccamaw River Park to collect litter to prevent it from going into the Waccamaw River. HTC, along with other area utility companies, assisted the City of Conway in picking up approximately 551 pounds of trash (28 bags in total) which also included four tires, a television, a tarp and more.
