HTC Supports Literacy Through Member Participation

Literacy opens doors to education, opportunity, and lifelong learning. That is why HTC launched a special initiative during the month of March in support of literacy efforts across local communities.

For every member who enrolled in AutoPay and Paperless during March, HTC made a monetary contribution to support local literacy organizations. Thanks to strong member participation, HTC donated $1,665 each to Palmetto Literacy Council, Georgetown Library, and Marion County Library during its April Helping the Community initiative.

Supporting Literacy Across the Communities We Serve

These organizations continue to make a meaningful impact through literacy programs, educational resources, and community outreach opportunities. In addition, libraries and literacy councils help create learning opportunities for people of all ages.

HTC remains proud to support efforts that encourage reading, education, and lifelong learning throughout Horry, Georgetown, and Marion counties. The initiative also aligns with growing local efforts that continue to highlight the importance of literacy and student success across the region.

Members Helped Make the Difference

Through this initiative, HTC members helped support local organizations simply by choosing convenient account options. As a result, the campaign created a positive community impact while encouraging participation in AutoPay and Paperless.

“Supporting our communities means supporting opportunities for learning and growth,” said Sandy Hendrick, HTC Marketing Manager. “We are thankful to our members for helping us make a meaningful impact through this initiative.”

HTC continues to invest in programs and partnerships that strengthen the communities it proudly serves.
