HTC to Provide Donation to First Steps of Horry, Georgetown and Marion Counties
In Celebration of Students Returning for the 2022-23 School Year, HTC Commits Pledges $5 Per New HTC TV Max Subscription During the Month of August</strong>
August 9, 2022, Conway, S.C., – HTC, the area’s largest fiber Internet provider, is partnering with Cooperative employees to donate to local First Steps organizations in Horry, Georgetown and Marion counties. This is in celebration of students returning for the 2022-23 school year. Additionally, donations are a part of HTC’s ongoing “Helping The Community” efforts.
HTC’s Commitment
During the month of August, HTC employees will donate $1,500 to Horry County First Steps. The money comes directly out of the Jean Day fund. An initiative of HTC, employees are permitted to wear jeans every Friday in return for a small annual charitable contribution. Jean Day funds are given back to the local community organizations throughout the year.
In addition, similar to previous community donation efforts, the Cooperative has pledged to donate $5 for every new HTC TV Max subscription during the month of August. Proceeds will benefit the Georgetown and Marion First Steps programs.

First Steps is a non-profit organization. It is their mission to bridge the gap on student’s preparedness for success in elementary school. With the belief that parents are a child’s best teacher, First Steps partners with families to provide resources to support the success of children from birth through age five.
