Recognizing Extraordinary Examples of Leadership
The REEL Kids Program
Since 2001, HTC has created a connection and relationship with schools throughout our service area. The REEL Kids program recognizes students in Horry, Georgetown and Marion counties. These students demonstrate leadership excellence while overcoming life challenges.
Schools from primary through high school, are encouraged to participate by nominating an extraordinary student. To become an HTC REEL Kid, each child, along with his or her teacher, principal or guidance counselor, will have their story documented for sharing with the community. And throughout the spring months, HTC will spotlight award recipients by releasing their individual stories every weekend via our Facebook page, YouTube channel (where you can see videos from previous years) and here on the HTC website.
The Class of 2027 nomination process will begin in August and our newest members of REEL Kids will be announced beginning January. We will once again celebrate at Medieval Times on Wednesday, April 21, 2027!
Not only do the REEL Kids and their families join the celebration, but our school administrators enjoy the festivities. They share their thoughts on HTC’s impact within the school districts that extends beyond the REEL Kids program.
