The Importance of Staying Connected

Have you ever heard the phrase “communication is key”?

Effective communication is a key factor to ensure a situation is resolved. And at HTC, we’re all about saving our members time and resolving situations efficiently.

With that said, have you ever noticed when contacting HTC, our Member Relations Associates ask questions like, “What is your best contact number?” or “Let’s confirm the email we have on file is still correct?” Having an updated mailing address, contact number and email address on file allows HTC to more effectively communicate with our members.

But…why is this so important you may ask?

We strive to constantly move forward with technology and services. Having the most up-to-date contact information for our members is the best way for HTC to keep them informed on what’s new and what may be upcoming.  Over time upgrades and maintenance will be needed so our members will be promptly contacted by mail, phone and/ or email. If a service request is needed, HTC will be in contact with the member every step of the way. 

As a member, it is exciting to receive, by mail, the HTC Life Connections magazine and the HTC Annual Report. Plus…don’t forget about HTC Capital Credit refund checks which are issued each year (for members who receive more than $100 back in refunds).  Who doesn’t love receiving a check in the mail? These communication pieces give an insight into the Cooperative and not only what happening on in our community, but it also allows us the opportunity to pour knowledge and news into our members.

Making Sure Your Info Is Up to Date

HTC makes it so easy for a new or existing member to update and manage their contact information. The next time you are in one of our eight convenient locations, feel free to ask a Member Relations Associate to confirm all your contact information is correct. And if you ever need to reach out to HTC by phone, this is another great opportunity to confirm your contact information is current. But, did you know you can also manage your contact information by using HTC’s My Account app?

It is as easy as 1-2-3 to do this via My Account:
  1. First, log into My Account, select the 3 lines in the top right corner.
  2. Next, select the tab labeled “My Account Settings”
  3. Then select the tab labeled “Manage your Contacts and Preferences”
  4. Lastly, update your info!

As a telecommunications company, our goal is to stay connected with members. Communication is so important to guarantee we can serve you with excellence.  We want to keep our members informed, and to do that updated contact information is crucial. The next time you contact HTC, take a moment to ensure your information is current. This will give you peace of mind knowing HTC can communicate with you as in the future as needs arise.

We also urge our members to confirm with other companies they do business with that all contact information is updated with them as well. This could be any company from your electric provider or favorite grocery store that offers rewards.
