HTC Partners with Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) to Provide Scholarships and Youth Tour Opportunity for Local Students
July 27, 2022, Conway, S.C. – In conjunction with the Foundation For Rural Service (FRS), HTC recently provided scholarships and Youth Tours to four Horry County School (HCS) students.
Madelyn Faircloth of Loris High and Liam McCann of AAST/Conway High were each awarded scholarships totaling $2,500, which will be used to cover expenses related to their higher education. Faircloth will be attending the University of South Carolina Honors College, majoring in Math and Pre-Med. McCann will be attending the University of Florida, majoring in Environmental Engineering.
Bryce Graham of Aynor High School and Alandrea Martin of Conway High School were this year’s local participants for FRS’ Youth Tour. They were provided with a trip to Washington, D.C., which occurred June 1-5, 2022. The Youth Tour gave Graham and Martin a chance to visit the nation’s capital, learn about rural broadband and share their community’s story.
As a member HTC of the NTCA- The Rural Broadband Association, HTC supports the FRS to help invest in the next generation of leaders and citizens.
