Did you know that the rich history of HTC began in 1951?
With the help of many local leaders and Horry Electric Cooperative, a committee was formed and they created the foundation for what would become the nation’s largest telephone cooperative.
From starting out with 81 members in 1952 to serving over 100,000 today, HTC has experienced so much growth and change but continues to serve its members with the same fundamental principles established all those years ago.
