HTC Employees Celebrate Heart Month With Successful Blood Drive

Conway, SC – What better way to celebrate National Heart Month than by offering the gift of life to those in our community? HTC is committed to partnering with the American Red Cross to save lives through blood donation.

HTC employees donated 27 units of blood during the event February 5. Those who donated will potentially save 81 lives, as each unit has the power to save up to three lives.

“HTC employees know how important it is to partner with the American Red Cross to positively affect lives in our communities,” said Lisa Martin, HTC senior marketing coordinator. “We come together throughout the year to offer eligible blood donations that can immediately make an impact for those in need.”

HTC employees have donated more than 2,935 units of blood since 1999, potentially saving over 8,800 lives.

The next regularly scheduled quarterly blood drive at HTC will be May 12.

For more information about how you can participate in the quarterly blood drives at HTC, please contact said Lisa Martin, HTC senior marketing coordinator, at 843-369-8714.

FoxNews contract talks under way with HTC, other companies

HTC is working with FoxNews and other Fox channels to renew programming for 2020 at rates and terms that are fair.

FOX is seeking a double-digit rate increase that we do not believe is fair to our hard-working members.

Along with other cable companies, we will continue to negotiate with the hope of no downtime for the channels when the contract expires on Jan. 1.

Some HTC offices closed Thanksgiving weekend

Some HTC retail offices will be closed Thursday through Sunday so that our employees can enjoy the holiday with their families.

Little River, Towne Centre and Conway on US 501 locations will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, but the remainder of the locations will be closed until Monday.

If you need technical support, that team is on call 24/7 at 843-365-2186.

Have a safe and happy holiday.

Update: Outage affecting cable customers should be resolved

UPDATE: It has been determined that power cycling your set top box and router; unplugging the power cords and plugging them back in; will now resolve the situation. Additional updates will be available on the HTC Facebook page and www.htcinc.net.

HTC is aware of an outage affecting some Digital Cable subscribers.

We sincerely apologize for the interruption in service and appreciate your patience. A server that routes the appropriate TV programming to your home is failing to provide the proper information. HTC is in contact with the manufacturer of the equipment and has escalated the issue to its critical support team.

In the interim, we encourage you to try TV Everywhere, an included service with your cable subscription that allows you to watch your favorite programming.

We will provide updates as soon as they become available.

Volunteers needed for Horry County Service Day

HTC is proud to be a part of the South Carolina Floodwater Commission Horry County Service Day.

The event will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 8, with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. There are four meeting locations: Conway City Marina, James. R. Frazier Community Center in Bucksport, Socastee Park and Yacht Basin Landing and the Town of Loris Recreation Department.

Volunteers are being sought to focus on cleaning draining ditches, culverts, canals, streams and waterways.

The work will include clearing trees, limbs, trash and debris, and removing accumulated sediment.

Volunteers with boats/watercraft are encouraged to attend and bring their boats, as some work sites in the Waccamaw River and adjacent waterways have debris and trees hindering the free flow of water.
